Happy July!

We had a blast this year attending Rosevilles 4th parade and picnic and the park. I'm so glad the heat waiting until after the holiday weekend.

It's been an awful 106 here in the Sacramento Valley, topped off by smoke in the air from nearby fires. Combine those, and we feel like hermits; unable to let Becca play at the park or be outside for long. We wait until after dinner to swim. Steve has been on vacation this week, so both of us try to figure what to do indoors to keep Becca occupied.

I've been staying busy scrapping by participating in challenges on my favorite websites 4Scrappy Sisters and 2 Croppin' Cousins. Oh yes, and my new fav - IAMASCRAPOHOLIC.

Special Thanks...

Thank you Iamascrapaholic.com for picking my LO (on the left) "All my Love"
as Layout of the Week!!!

This photo shows the bond that my husband, Steve and daughter Rebecca have. How could I not showcase it? And thank goodness my mojo was in the house when I created this LO!

It seems in the past week my mojo has left the building, as I have been struggling with the two LOs I've been working on. Even with sketches, I'm wallowing in the mud trying to complete them. Mojo! Where oh where did you go?

Why the "ScrapForest"?

I bet you're wondering why such a funky name for a blog, hu? Well, back in high school I had Theater teacher- who's name escapes me now - who wrote this in my yearbook:

"To the Forest of Arden, someday you'll know what this means."

I thought that was weird, until I took a Shakespear class. The 'Forest of Arden' is where "As You Like It" takes place. So I decided to incorporate this with my scrapbooking to create a 'Scrapforest' where wonderful creations come from my hands, and little elves are at my beck and call to supply me with Starbucks, and any scrap tool I need.

At this point you may be raising your eyebrows, thinking that this chick has been Photobucket maybe a tad too much. Nah! I just have a wild imagination!

So come join me in the 'Forest'! It's a great place to kick back and relax, have a chuckle or two and indulge in our favorite thing - scrapbooking!

PS - This is Hobbs, the Forest Kitty. Photobucket He'll join us from time to time.

Hello all!!

I'm new to this blog stuff. I hope I dont bore you all to tears!

Summer vacation is here, and that means having Rebecca,8, home. She's my youngest child and second daughter. (FYI- Erin is 22, and Ben is 20) Anyway, Becca has had church camp this week in the mornings, which leaves me time to scrap and attack my ever present pile of laundry.

Today I have two other girls here to play, and they want to go swim, which means again, I have little time to even write a note here! sigh. I know you moms out there know exactly what I'm talking about. I think about applying for design teams but when would I have the time to do the required LOs? I dont know how some moms have several design teams to scrap for, message boards to keep up with, and kids and work and the house and so on. How in the world do you do it?

Here are my latest layouts:
